- johnsonap 4y ago1st cousins actually. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_II_of_Russia#:~:text=Nicholas%2C%20his%20wife%20Alexandra%2C%20and%20German%20emperor%20Wilhelm%20II%20were%20all%20first%20cousins%20of%20King%20George%20V%20of%20the%20United%20Kingdom https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_II_of_Russia#:~:text=...
- mmanfrin 4y agoThey were first cousins, they were both grandchildren of Queen Victoria.
- RcouF1uZ4gsC 4y agoActually their common grandparent was not Queen Victoria, but rather King Christian of Denmark.
- junar 4y agoYeah, it gets a bit confusing when you add in the German Emperor, Wilhelm II. * George V and Nicholas II share Christian IX of Denmark as a common grandparent * George V and Wilhelm II share Victoria as a common grandparent * Nicholas II and Wilhelm II are more distantly related to each other (second cousins once-removed through Frederick William III of Prussia)
- RcouF1uZ4gsC 4y agoAlso Nicolas’s wife Alexandra was Victoria’s granddaughter and a cousin of George and Wilhelm.
