- webmaven 4y agoPerhaps. There is an obvious centralizing security play in markets like IOT devices ("The 'S' in IOT stands for 'Security'"). That said, just as with other Open Source™ efforts by Google, there is potentially a lot of value that would be unlocked to others' benefit with no obligation to Google (other than the usual "respect trademarks"), etc., just as there is with Android and Chromium,
- evolve2k 4y agoPlease add “security-vetted” back to the title. Came here ready to write an angry post saying why do we need Googles’ opinion on which open source software they like only to see its specific to security vetting.
