- PragmaticPulp 4y agoI’m definitely sorry to see senior people leaving (or losing) their positions at an iconic company, especially amidst this weird public uncertainty about its future. However, Twitter’s core product has stagnated for too long. I don’t expect (not necessarily want) drastic overhauls, but even many of the features in the interface feel like half finished prototypes. Even attaining feature parity between desktop and mobile (I still have to switch to desktop to schedule a Tweet because it’s missing in mobile) would be a step forward. I only know a few people who have worked at Twitter recently. I asked one of them (product person) what he did while he was there and he admitted he couldn’t really give me a good answer. That’s obviously an n=1 anecdote, but it tracks with what I see from the outside. Maybe this wave of management changeover will loosen up some of the stagnation.

An audit could find that 5% is correct. But what if audit has a different conclusion and, say, it is actually 15%? If I was an exec, I wouldn't want to find out nor be a part of any discussion internally how accurate the 5% number is. This might mean twitter has been misleading shareholders for years. NVIDIA got in trouble with SEC for much less...
