Pegasus Mail Newsflashes
- WalterGR 4y agoI had forgotten about Pegasus Mail! I used it back in the day. Don't think I've heard that name mentioned in years. This interview looks like it could be interesting: "I've never been a businessman For 30 years Pegasus Mail has been the project of a single programmer who struggled with big corporations - but with himself as well." https://www.golem.de/news/interview-with-david-harris-i-ve-never-been-a-businessman-2012-152533.html https://www.golem.de/news/interview-with-david-harris-i-ve-n...
- georgeoliver 4y agoIMO this submission could use a better title to highlight the current issue, which according to the link is that the sole dev of the Pegasus email client sunk a lot of time into supporting Oauth on Gmail (required this year) only to discover that Google will require a security assessment every year at the dev's expense, which isn't workable for this long-time, free program. I don't know if this requirement was easily discoverable beforehand.
- nix23 4y agoThat was the biggest point i went away from the whole google-legacy-stuff...no beeing able to use the mail-client i want. Hey Google are you doing the same mistakes with your mail as you did with your talk*? ;) Resistance to learn from mistakes you do. -Yoda
