- jfengel 4y agothere was almost no barrier to entry, and they could mark up their products as much as they liked. Yeah, anybody oughta recognize that that's not gonna end well for them. "No barrier to entry" means "somebody else is going to mark their products up less", to the point where you both make zero profit. It racks up profits for the first movers, temporarily, but it's not stable.
