An acquaintance of mine I lost contact with used to copy each DVD he rented from the video store, back in the early to mid 2000's. Then he realized he had a box full of DVD-Rs, nicely ripped using DVDFab Decrypter and processed and RCE-stripped with the latest DVD Shrink, but had never gone back into that box to rewatch any of them, and had never been asked by anyone if he had any of those movies. It was at that point where he decided if he really liked a movie, it was worth buying to have the original box and leaflet.
