If The Economist is going to print obscenities, it should spell correctly. It's not "pederasti," but "pidarasi". And while I'm here, there is no "t" in borsch.

  According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borscht https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borscht, the English spelling comes via Yiddish "borsht".
