Elon seems like a genuinely interesting person, and like many very successful people, I think he exhibits some clear manic depressive and ADHD traits. Just looking at his Twitter feed, he was absolutely on fire in the week after the deal was announced; I can only imagine the rush he was feeling from such a large purchase. Now that the rush is subsiding it would make sense that he’s paying more attention to his negative feelings around the financial risk and future workload he created for himself with the purchase.
