i keep a exploratory todolist that grows as i work, if im really stuck on a problem ill draw out a diagram to help me visualize the data or the UI interaction.

i keep a exploratory todolist that grows as i work, if im really stuck on a problem ill draw out a diagram to help me visualize the data or the UI interaction. todolists are sufficient for me 98% of the time though. i use Notion for that.
