Ask HN: Are there any domains that reflect any IP address?
Hi HN!
I'm looking for a service that acts as, for lack of better words, a reflective resolver - if you request an A Record for 127.0.0.1.example.com, it resolves to 127.0.0.1, similarly 192.168.1.1.example.com, etc.
Does such a service exist?
- uberman 4y agoYour hosts file?
- metadat 4y agoCould be good, but hard to recommend anything without knowing OPs motivation and goal.
- aucrhogehr 4y agoThere are scenarios when you want to explicitly use DNS, or you're unable to control the hosts file.
- mattl 4y agoxip.io?
- aucrhogehr 4y agoTa this is exactly what I was after!
