Programming Is No Longer the Fastest Growing Job in Tech
- marcusjramsey 4y agoLet me know what you think. Will programming ever completely go away?
- rantallion 4y agoOf course it won't. Who's making the tools that let people make things without programming?
- sharemywin 4y agodepends on what you call programming. there's a lot of no code options for a lot of use cases.
- marcusjramsey 4y agoThat's also a good point, programming has evolved quite a lot. No code is something I believe in, I'm interested to see how this plays out in the coming years.
- sharemywin 4y ago"Wrapping Up If you are a programmer don’t be upset, I don’t think your jobs are going away anytime soon. I actually think this is a good thing because these are expanding roles, and not removing other positions like programming. It challenges the false assumption that you have to be technical to work in our field." Nope just more people that don't know that the hell their talking about telling you what to do.
- marcusjramsey 4y agoTelling you what to do? In what way?
- sharemywin 4y agomost of those roles try to speak for the customers and a get a lot of it wrong. so you end up coding things 2 or 3 times. or they don't understand what can be done so they get out of their lane and start proposing solutions. and don't get me started on pushes to get things done yesterday and no investment in product development. so the solutions are half backed and crap just pulls up and pulls up.
