tesla's 'self driving' features are something otherworldly to behold sometimes. ive seen a model X approach an intersection with a green light and a clear path of travel only to lock up the brakes and skid just a few feet short of the light. on a motorcycle ive merged in front of a tesla with plenty of headspace only to see it surge forward momentarily before applying every gram of brake-force to drag the car to a screeching halt. A few streets later this same tesla resumed travel next to me from the light, only to slowly and methodically merge into the shoulder and onto the grass before its driver took over.
