McDonalds was one of the prime buyers of local meat and other agricultural goods. Them leaving the market = huge loses for farmers and companies. They have goods, they don't have a big buyer. Not to mention all McD's staff. They will sell their business and instead of McD you will get another just food brand but with broken logistics, business processes and so on.
