What might reverse late-night TV’s decline?
- jleyank 4y agoI'm guessing, but perhaps people don't want to have anything that is time-sensitive when it comes to TV. Maybe I don't want to be up watching at that time, and anything trying to be topically humorous suffers by being time shifted (smeared?). TV viewing habits, I thought, have changed - from episodic to binging on seasons? if so, what's the sense in watching >1 late-night show in a single sitting? And what's the point of the guests, then? They're hawking something which almost by definition is really stale compared to what's available on-line.
- Mountain_Skies 4y agoThere's no shortage of outrage focused "comedians" willing to emotionally manipulate me on YouTube at whatever time of day I want. No need to wait around for aging bozos in a set timeslot.
- ohiovr 4y agoNot a big market for tv smearing and gaslighting the working class.
- JoeyBananas 4y agoTV commercials are far too disruptive.
