Leading a Team: Are You in Charge or Just in Control?
- jleyank 4y agoGiven that we’re (probably) talking about non military leadership, leaders must see themselves as guides and supporters. They acquire resources, protect against distractions, nurture and develop, translate corporate goals into action items, carry issues upwards and, yes, discipline. But “in charge” or “in control”, no. Maybe “responsible for”, but those in the military can’t tell their superiors to go perform some quaint anatomical impossibility and leave.
