I feel like YT is too quick to adapt and adapts too fully. If I pick up a new interest and watch videos on it for a bit, then that's all I see in recommendations; it's like my old interests don't exist any more and I have to remember to search them again.
- throwaway290 4y agoI had a similar impression for a time (I felt like they decided to 'tiktokify' the recommendation system too much) but I find I see a decent mix after a while, although I definitely wish some topics did not fade out if I didn't watch them for a while. I wish we didn't need to reverse-engineer recommendation algorithms.
