Here is my visible light photograph of the M87 jet: https://nt4tn.net/astro/#M87jet https://nt4tn.net/astro/#M87jet It's a much more interesting target for VLBI radio astronomy however! My mind boggles at the resolution required to see the 'ring' if it, in fact, exists. -- something like thirty thousand times greater than my optical image.
