And if you take his claims about covid obscuring the growth in demand at face value, you'll just be exacerbating the problem by not using energy "normally". But you'll be a soupy mess while you do it. I can't imagine not running AC, if only for its dehumidifying effects, in a Houston summer.

I'm pretty sure you're bullshitting yourself there. "exacerbating the problem", when not turning on the ac? I don't blame you for wanting a nice livable climate, but don't make up reasons that using the energy is better for everyone.

  I thought it was pretty clear that was not a justification. It was more of an eye-roll at the idea that covid made demand impossible to understand.
