Startup offering cocoon-like pods to allow 14 residents to share a single house
- hunglee2 4y agoIf you go back to first principles, increasingly density of housing is the way to solve the housing crisis. We are currently locked into the idea that single owner / single family owner occupier model of housing - which basically means billions of individual housing units if extrapolated to global scale. Packing people closer together - as we once lived (google 'Hakka Walled Villages') and sharing communal spaces which we episodically and infrequently use - is the way. So I approve of this innovation, even though it will inevitably be portrayed as a dystopic illustration of wealth inequality
