Pedantic nitpick because I haven’t learned to not argue with people on the Internet. I like drama.
The original phrase is not 100% certain. It’s often quoted as audentis fortuna iuvat, and also as audaces fortuna iuvat. Fortune favors the brave and fortune favors the bold are both equally valid, or invalid, as there’s not a clear root origin that is literally carved in stone. I know this because I just read it in Wikipedia, which means I’m basically an expert.
