Current paying Heroku customer, so... feels successful enough to me!
- jspash 4y agoSame here, however... What I love about HN is the exposure to new ideas and suggestions. I've seen suggested here that fly.io is a cheaper alternative that people rave about. I had a quick look at their site and so far I like what I see. So come Monday morning I'm going to add a ticket to the dev queue: Investigate moving from Heroku -> Fly.io We'll look at the pros and cons. Pricing. Ease of use. etc. The usual. And my gut tells me that heroku might be losing yet one more customer and the tens of thousands per year that my company is currently spending with them. We're a small team, so it was decided to spend the money on a PaaS instead of a large ops team. It's worked well enough for the past 15 years. So maybe time to move?
