How would you fault anyone for applying some of their surplus resources to their own survival if the doodoo hits the fan? Better we don’t make the doodoo and build giant fans, but that’s a worldwide “we” and out of rational control in the near to medium term anyway. I’m not a fan of the super-entitlement of the super-rich, and the establishment of the plutonomy and global plutarchy, but this one I get.
