My blog is just plain text files and a RSS feed generated with a shell script. My build system is a makefile. I deploy to nearlyfreespeech.net with rsync, and every few months I throw twenty bucks into my account to cover storage/bandwidth/CPU. I literally push updates to my host by running "make install". That's minimal hassle.
As for marketing my blog: my blog is wall-to-wall pornography, fantasies that I write under a pseudonym instead of trying to act out because I'm happily married and would prefer to remain that way. Everything I wrote there, I wrote one-handed -- and it ought to be read one-handed too. Why would I market it, except perhaps by syndicating posts to literotica.com with a link back to the original?
