GDP doesn’t calculate economic or societal health, it calculates capitalist productivity and consumption. Why is it constantly touted as a marker that must grow in order for society to be happy? Women be shopping when they do not be happy. Re: labor shortage I’d say the same thing. What do we want? No Jobs! When do we want them? Never!
