I'm like you; tell me what you need and I'll just do it. If I get a work-item that is decently written or at minimum has design mocks, I can immediately get to work and basically never have to communicate backwards with anyone. Like you said though, everyone is different. I work alongside many devs that need hand-holding through the entire process. That's totally fine, but what I ask is don't make my attendance to meetings mandatory. Don't force me to partake in the ceremonial BS. I get nothing out of it. If you make the attendees optional, then they can choose whether or not they need that meeting. I know - with strong confidence - that I don't need the meetings.
