India is likely to be the world’s fastest-growing big economy this year
- frontman1988 4y agoIndia needs two decades of such high growth to catch up to today's China/US. It's a long road but certainly possible. And then they also need to ensure development actually lifts everyone and not the elite few which has historically been a problem due to the country's caste system. Also given India has missed the manufacturing train, it's not going to be easy giving jobs to the mind boggling 1 billion people workforce.

Bank accounts, UPI, and direct benefits transfer - these have been the bedrock on which this growth is being seen, and finally acknowledged. Plus, with huge investments coming in in semiconductors and electronics manufacturing, India also seems to be on the cusp of a manufacturing growth spurt.
