- conk 4y agoI’m under the impression the concern is more about smoke being emitted during a fire which would then filter into a room and obscure escape paths. This is more of an issue in a commercial building where you have lots of people who need to move through potentially narrow escape routes than it is in a home where every major room will have multiple means of egress.
