Bloated Vladimir Putin video heightens theories Russian leader is sick
- bell-cot 4y agoReasonable assumption: Day-to-day routine (staged) official videos of Putin - such as this one of his meeting with a "key advisor" - will show exactly what Putin and his inner circle want to be shown. The video is posted on kremlin.ru. This is not some sort of "a paparazzi managed to sneak into the inner sanctums of the Kremlin..." scoop for the New York Post.
- AnimalMuppet 4y agoSomewhat reasonable assumption. Yes, it's staged. No, the stage managers may not realize every possible way in which the video could leak information they'd rather conceal.
- tastysandwich 4y agoSo he fidgets, and taps his shoes? And he's holding the corner of the table? I must be missing something here. I'm not a doctor or anything. Is fidgeting bad or something? And tapping your legs? Because I do both of those constantly without realising it. I see these "body language expert" articles all the time. How much can you really glean from 10 seconds of video released by the kremlin? It's like, "Putin scratches his groin - he must have a venereal disease!" Or you know, he's just got itchy balls... it's fairly common...
- ss108 4y agoI wouldn't trust NYPost posting a story like this about Hillary Clinton, and I don't trust it about this either. I only trust it about relatively non-sensational NYC happenings.
- hsnewman 4y agoYour comparing Hillary to Vladimir?
- ss108 4y agoObviously not. It's a comment on the journalistic integrity of the Post and any other publication spreading the obviously fake news about her health ailments, and about how we process and evaluate info, not on the relative merits of Clinton v Putin, and I don't see how it could be fairly read otherwise.
