I built a really shitty version of linkedin for people in my school to stay in touch after graduation (in 1998 i think). People were really using it and pressing me to improve on it. I just didn't care and at some time just deleted it (angering many friends). No regrets, though. I was definitely not ready to take the idea any further, back then.
