It takes an inordinate amount of time for a repair shop to replace batteries, meaning that it costs 5x more to replace than it should.
- Wowfunhappy 4y agoI guess we have different definitions of "inordinate". Field replaceable batteries would of course be ideal, but that would result in thicker devices and/or smaller batteries.
- sudosysgen 4y agoFor some phones it can take upwards of an hour to swap a battery and there is a solid risk of irreparable damage.
- Wowfunhappy 4y agoOkay, that is inordinate! I've had places replace my iPhone battery in less than 15 minutes.
