Voltages are going up! The Lucid Air battery pack is at 900 volts, compared to the Model 3 at 350 volts.
When asked about it on the earnings call, Tesla stated their main reason to not increase voltage is their existing charger network.
- hulitu 4y agoThere are also other reasons. High voltage components are expensive. Insulation is expensive. Reliability goes down.
