How about... Internet Service Provider pricing for home servers?
Mine in Texas, USA charges about $72 per month to allow me to host my own server, and have 1 static IP. That would be in addition to my $60 residential connection-- for a total of $132. Pretty expensive for me-- $1,584 annually
Anyone have a better (cheaper) solution?
Granted, with DigitalOcean I pay about $10/month ($120/year) for a tiny server... if I ran my own, the server itself would be much cheaper for the quality (i.e. several GB of RAM & storage space). It's just that the internet service is much more expensive :(
