- 8note 4y agoWhat I really want is an index across all of congress and the senate. One that can buy into their non-public companies too
- alar44 4y agoBecause congresspeople making a few million on the side is nothing compared to billions and trillions spent blowing things up and world banks defrauding the public. Fuckin peanuts. Really don't care.
- neodypsis 4y agoNot a good reason to not care.
- narism 4y ago> congresspeople making a few million on the side > billions and trillions spent blowing things up These two things are not unrelated. Congresspeople having financial stakes in defense companies (Raytheon/Honeywell/Lockheed Martin/etc) while also making policy decisions that directly impact their bottom line (go to war/manufacture this equipment/send military aid) introduces a clear conflict of interest.
