I am a co-founder at Mashgin. It's been quite a journey for us. We were a part of YC 2015W batch. We got started in 2014. We didn't apply to YC in time and were not aware that late applications were a thing. Then we met someone who had come to the bay area for a late application interview. Encouraged, we applied to YC just a few days before the start of the batch with no hope. Somehow, we were called for interview and got in. We then thought it would only take us 6-9 months to make the product. It took us five years and lots of hard work to finally build a product that works.
