Farmed fish have, historically at least, contained high levels of PCBs and other long-term chemicals: https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/fish-and-pbcs/faq-20348595 https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-h...
I would think there's some way to farm fish properly to avoid this, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
- ChrisMarshallNY 4y agoYeah, that's a problem. Farmed doesn't have mercury, but it's got other junk, and non-farmed has mercury. Pick your poison, I guess. But I live on Long Island. The salmon I eat, isn't as scary as the water I drink, or the air I breathe. Here's what an MIT professor had to say about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPrAuF2f_oI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPrAuF2f_oI
