This is hilarious. The Google Cloud unit serves enterprises, and is basically playing catch-up with Amazon and Microsoft. Why wouldn't its culture be different from the money-printing monopoly that is Google search and advertising? People seem to have weird ideas about cultural uniformity and dynamics. Of course TK is going to hire SAP, Microsoft and other veterans, because they are the people who have experience serving enterprises, not folks who built out Google's internal infrastructure to serve the only "customer" with basically a very circumscribed set of use-cases.
