Too soon. The iPod would be the perfect companion for an Apple Watch once there is a bit more energy available in the battery of the watch. Instead of selling the watch as an add-on to the phone, the watch could be the central device and the screen of the iPod could be brought out when the voice assistants come to their rare limits. There is no need for a phone when better screens are available most of the times (e.g. at the desk, the car or the tv).
