I'm pretty surprised that they don't have a "play with the focus" widget on the homepage. It took me too many clicks to find out why I needed this camera.

- tincholio 15y agoIf you click on the images found on the linked page, they refocus.
- pitdesi 15y agoFor those who didn't find it right away: https://www.lytro.com/living-pictures https://www.lytro.com/living-pictures Fun times. Too bad the science requires a deep back... would be awesome to have this technology in your cellphone... hopefully we're just a few years away. Technology is amazing.
- joshu 15y agoIt doesn't. I've seen it in a normal camera form-factor. It does require a larger sensor, though.
- rbanffy 15y agoA normal camera is much deeper than a cellphone. At least one I'd like to carry with me ;-) Nokia once had a cellphone with the camera on the side, mounted in the clamshell hinge. With smaller lenses it could be a side-facing camera.
- woadwarrior01 15y agoAre you talking about the Nokia N93? A friend of mine had it. It was the only cell phone I'd seen with optical zoom.
- rbanffy 15y agoIt's most probably the only one where an optical zoom would fit. A quite ingenious solution. A periscope-like mount would also be viable for cellphones - it would still be at least twice as large as a common camera, but it wouldn't be much deeper.
- kapitalx 15y agoThe messaging is definitely lacking. My first reaction was why are all the images in the gallery out of focus. This is quite amazing.
- iqster 15y agoProbably because it takes too long to load the images.
