I think you are missing something here: a lot of conservatives feel kinda the same about the liberal sources. I'm not old enough to have direct experience of how things were decades ago, but I was recently reading an old book about Reagan by a bunch of NYT correspondents. They didn't seem nearly as biased as today's NYT journalists do. Another example is CNN. I vaguely feel that it must've been much better during the Walter Isaacson era.
