IMHO boot camps are for coding like going to the gym is for exercise. Yes, you can do it all by yourself, in your house, alone. But being alone is depressing for many people, so they decide to pay whatever sum of money just to be in the same room with people in the same page, and a tutor to correct their mistakes. And I totally agree. I'm following a course in Udemy to learn modern Front End (I'm a Back End developer) and it's boring as hell. Also, I can totally just quit studying with zero consequences.
