So much more data will be collected in the future, and whenever you have some GPS coordinates, it will be straightforward to include them in maps. Data will be more then just lists of coordinates. 10 years ago Google streetview showed us what is kind of digital immersion is possible. I think the current situation (with a number of commercial mediocre map providers such as Google, Bing and Apple) makes it possibel (easy?) for a newcomer to really bring another map revolution.
