- eesmith 4y agoTotal car trip cost includes other factors like insurance and depreciation. Those tires wear out, the oil needs replacing, etc. Eg, IRS mileage rate is 58.5 cents per mile. Also, the spinner for the hotel goes up/down in increments of $0.01, which is effectively useless.
