As someone who has always considered themselves a younger X-er, I agree with your ""we live in a fucked up world, what are we going to do about it," vision of things. I think my bar was always too high, and that's what led to my discontent. And I've always felt powerless (maybe wrongly) to affect change in any meaningful way. Though, I was all-in for the alternative and grunge music!
