The tech interview process is still so completely broken in my book. Nobody really knows what anybody wants or how to show it 1 hour blocks (for both parties - applicant and employer)
- evandale 4y agoIt's such baffling feedback. I can't even comprehend what it's supposed to mean or why someone would say it. Are they trying to look for a rock-star interviewer who is a total disaster for the team?
- marcinzm 4y agoIt's possible they had a rubric for the interview which implicitly assumed a certain way of answering. Since the whole point in that case is to strictly follow the rubric to lower bias they had to reject.

- akhmatova 4y agoAre they trying to look for a rock-star interviewer who is a total disaster for the team? That's one interpretation. Another is that they're scared shitless and have no idea how to go about this other than to cargo-cult as many filter questions they can from other people's process, and then, well, see what happens. Or both.
