Because it is absurdly easy to make a pot of coffee, if you want a single cup just adjust the amount of water and coffee. There is also instant coffee. Which can be better than Keurig. It's not to say that there is 0 convenience its just barely so and not really worth the added cost and waste. Also if you happen to be the one that has to refill the water or wait on it to heat it's no more convenient than any other option. Also the coffee sucks.
