Open Source Enshrines the Wrong Privilege (2021)
- rini17 4y agoHow can code of conduct and other verbiage in license solve the stated problem - inability of users to contribute because they can't program? Most OSS devs like to interact empathically with users already, having community is part of their motivation.
- h2odragon 4y agoWar is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, and this kinda thinking is the result of bringing good people up while wrapped in a world of nonsense. If you believe that "These licenses that we have in FLOSS all enshrine selfish and privileged behaviours." to the authors but not the users... I dunno what to tell you.
