Who says Twitter needs them? When WhatsApp was about to try the paid subscription model, it was bought by Facebook, less than a year later.
I suspect it's still losing money (since it's free and I still see no ads), but the paid model might have worked.
- usrn 5y agoThere absolutely are ads on Twitter. I tried creating an account the other week and it relentlessly shoved a bunch of NFL stuff in my face despite the fact that I never engaged with it. I'm absolutely certain that was paid.
