Most companies, especially small ones don't do the volume required to make stockpiling enough products close to the consumer to make it worthwhile.

- Spivak 4y agoRephrased, individual merchants on Amazon don’t move enough volume to have their products stocked at every warehouse on the planet. And the ones that do Amazon has started offering “tonight” delivery.
