God forbid someone has an opinion contrary to the drug manufacturer about a drug that has been shown to increase suicide risk and dangerous behaviour amongst people with depression. The horror.
I guess someone should tell the Canadian Center for Suicide Prevention that they are wrong and to shut up

- TurkishPoptart 4y agoExactly. Ever since the covid "vaccine" hysteria emerged, the media have drawn extremely rigid lines between "institutionally-approved medical views" and everything else that doesn't fit neatly into what Big Pharma and its governmental collaborators want to disseminate. And if you question that, you're "putting people at risk". No one should be reading WaPo anymore.
- smt88 4y agoThere is a wide chasm between "may cause suicidal ideation" and "should be entirely withdrawn from the market". Suicide is a difficult and sometimes rational decision. There really are people who, in their most lucid mind, would prefer to die. If antidepressants work to restore motivation, they may also restore someone's ability to take their own life. It's extremely complicated, and it should be up to a patient and their doctor. Lots of medical interventions can cause death, including breast implants. That's not, by itself, a reason to ban it.
- dimensionc132 4y agoOf course it is a complicated issue, no one denies that, however, if the Canadian Center for Suicide Prevention states in their findings; "There have been reports that state that Bupropion is the worst antidepressant for treating suicidal behaviors and may even play a part in increasing suicidal tendencies among users." and "These results would show that bupropion is a dangerous drug to use to treat depression." .... just maybe we should listen to people who know what they are talking about, instead of armchair psychiatrists.
