My web app is in some sense a Figma-like design tool. It has built-in zoom functionality that conflicts with browser zoom. I have to disable zoom in order to make the app usable. iOS in particular is pretty hostile to this. There's another angle here, which is that being pro-browser zoom is anti-web application, and implicitly preferring native applications. This is actually playing into Apple's hands of enforcing their walled garden and the Apple tax. They are neutering web apps intentionally.
